At Ponsford we know that delivering your furniture is an important job, and we take it seriously. That's why we operate our own fleet of delivery vehicles and employ our own highly skilled delivery people. This way you can be sure the quality of service that we're known for continues from original purchase right through to the goods being delivered to your home. We quality check, unpack, set up and finally remove any packaging to make sure you can enjoy your new furniture straight away. If you're a little further afield (outside 50 miles of our Sheffield furniture store) then we'll use a trusted third party carrier, adhering to the same high levels of service and professionalism.
Order Processing & Delivery Dates
After ordering we will contact you (within 48 hours) via e-mail or telephone to advise of an estimated lead time for your item(s). An approximate lead time is given on each individual product page; if timing is an issue then please call us on 0114 255 0075 and we'll be happy to advise if a product can be sourced more quickly.
National delivery across our main UK delivery routes is charged at a rate of £49*† Parts of England which are further afield along with Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland will usually incur an additional charge and will involve working with a trusted third party delivery partner. Delivery may be carried out by our own expert team or one of our trusted delivery partners.
*Fitting may be charged at an additional cost. † Orders under £1,000 may be subject to a higher charge.
Third Party Delivery
Certain orders, such as those dispatched direct from the manufacturer will be delivered using a trusted third party courier. You will be notified after purchase (within 48 hours) via e-mail or telephone if this is the case. Our third party logistic partners generally offer a one person delivery service and assembly of the furniture may be required, again you will be notified shortly after purchase if this is the case.
Click & Collect
You can select to collect your purchase from the store or our warehouse (details below) free of charge. You will be contacted when your item(s) is in stock to arrange a suitable date for collection. Please do not attempt to collect an item before being notified by us that it is ready for collection, we'd hate for you to have a wasted journey!
