HELLO AUTUMN

The season of mists and mellow fruitfulness is upon us—it’s time to start thinking about getting your home ready for the winter months ahead. As the nights draw in, thoughts turn to creating a warm, cosy interior which is both welcoming and comfortable. Here, a few ideas to help get you started...

The Natuzzi Editions BOLDER

RETHINK COMFORT

With its focus on luxury craftsmanship and the finest materials, the new Natuzzi Italia Bolder range (pictured above) redefines contemporary comfort and versatility: the adaptable modules can be configured into countless variations to suit the needs of you and your space. And that's not allthe fully adjustable headrest can be raised by an electric mechanism to help you find the perfect position for binge-watching your favourite entertainment. Just sit back and enjoy.

The Tetrad ABERLOUR sofa and chair

MIX IT UP

If you're a fan of more traditional interiors, come and check out Tetrad's Aberlour sofa and chair in Harris Tweed Macallan Check with Brompton Tan piping. Its Victorian-inspired shape with deep buttoning and bobbin turned legs is just the thing to sink into after a brisk autumn walk. Mix it with pieces of different styles to keep the look contemporary. Here, we've styled it with Earlston's Borsham lamp table, Calligaris' Thin Console Table (as unobtrusive as it is chic) and an eclectic collection of local artists' work.

EMBRACE PUMPKIN

If an all-out orange wall (like the one in our main image) is too much, why not try an orange accent chair? We have a great selection of chairs in various autumnal hues to choose from including Fama's motorised Mondrian (bright satsuma), Natuzzi's Italia Tratto (rich ochre velvet) and Ercol's Marino in mustard boucle.

RUG UP

One of the easiest ways to create a warm ambience is to add a hot-coloured rug underfoot. Here, on the right, we've styled the elegant Masham sofahigh-backed, deep-buttoned, upholstered in pale Yorkshire tweed—with a Calvin Klein Linear Glow 100% wool rug to show the impact a rich-coloured rug can have on a neutral interior. On the left is the Antiquarian Hadschlu rug; the perfect foil for simple, Modernist furniture.

GLOW UP

As the days grow shorter, lighting plays an even more important role in creating a warm and cosy interior. We suggest multiple light points at different heights. Shown here L-R: the small amber and black Oda lamp designed by Sebastian Herkner for Pulpo; the Tulip lamp, and the Ono floor lamp designed by French lighting designer Olivier Toulouse. All lighting and accessories are available in-store, subject to availability.
