EMBRACE PUMPKIN

If an all-out orange wall (like the one in our main image) is too much, why not try an orange accent chair? RUG UP

One of the easiest ways to create a warm ambience is to add a hot-coloured rug underfoot. Here, on the right, we've styled the elegant Masham sofa—high-backed, deep-buttoned, upholstered in pale Yorkshire tweed—with a Calvin Klein Linear Glow 100% wool rug to show the impact a rich-coloured rug can have on a neutral interior. On the left is the Antiquarian Hadschlu rug; the perfect foil for simple, Modernist furniture.
